These Are the Voyages of the Starship Obamaprise…

   Posted by: lightfinger    in Obama

It is finally time to make this post.

The Obama ‘Change’ mantra, his proposals, his ‘dreams’ as he puts it all come from a singular source, a source we all know about and probably many of us actually like.

Obama’s vision is the same vision of Gene Roddenberry.

Yes, the progressives and Obama want our world to become the world envisioned in Star Trek.

Before you scoff at this notion, think about this for a moment. Obama wants a world where we are all equal, where we do not have a need for currency, and thus a world with no greed. We all work together as one, no matter the race. We all are content with the universe, and go out to explore because we have unlimited energy and food from alternative sources other than oil. In this shiny happy vision, there is no religion, as science rules the day, and anyone who follows a religion is considered a backwards dolt. When we fight, it is always defensively, and in a limited fashion. We can negotiate with anyone and make them our friends. We all have universal health care, where a doctor can just put a little band on your head and cure you of many diseases and ailments.

In Obama’s mind, conservatives and Republicans are the Klingons. We’re warlike, and everyone is armed to the teeth. Since the Federation is enlightened, they believe nothing of honor, whereas conservatives treasure it. But, hey, all we need to do is talk with the Klingons/conservatives, and they’ll join right up with us, just like Worf did in Next Generation.

However, here is the catch. If you watch the later shows, especially Deep Space 9, Enterprise, and the later movies, you see the corruption creeping into the Federation. You see how good people go bad constantly, tempted by greed or power. Already, Obama is turning into this version of the Federation. He is arrogant to a fault, and now the press is finally starting to realize just what they brought about by supporting a historic candidate who has many flaws they refused to point out to the world.

In the end, it really comes down to this.
