Barack Obama, aka Neo-BO, says that we who are conservative should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh if we want to get along with BO and his ilk.

There is only one appropriate response to this request, but first, a bit of background.

I have listened to Rush Limbaugh since his first year on the radio. Though I don’t listen often, I do catch him when I can. It is sometimes difficult for someone like me, who is constantly interrupted at work with issues or questions by a number of people. I usually only have a few minutes between interruptions, so I can’t listen to music, let alone political commentary.

However, I have over the years subscribed to the Limbaugh Letter, and I listen to other conservative political commentators over the years: Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Neil Boortz, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter and when I can people like Hugh Hewitt, Mark Levin, and Michael Savage. Each is a unique personality, though there are common themes running between all of their programs. Some have guests, some are lone voice commentaries like Rush. 

People forget Rush has fought against George Bush Sr, George Bush Jr, and other Republicans who would rather surrender to the liberal/progressive agenda. (Please note, those terms have become oxymorons. Democrats believe neither in liberty nor in progress, wanting to revert the world to one envisioned by a late 19th century/early 20th century philosopher whose theories have been discredited since their publication). For years now, people like Rush have been the only voice for conservatism peppering the mainstream media, since GWB and his ‘compassionate’ crowd all but abandoned us by 2005.

So, there is only one appropriate response to Mr Obama’s request. The same answer was given by an American general during the Battle of the Bulge, to a totalitarian leader asking for surrender, just as Rush is our general, and Obama absolutely no different than that totalitarian leader’s commander in chief.
