McWhirter is a slightly strange sort. He is seen in the media as having a flamboyant personality, and is frequently labeled as insane. Though he is outlandish, he is the most effective sheriff the area has ever really had. Unfortunately, even he knows he is out of his league when it comes to supervillains and their minions. If any law enforcement official would embrace heroes in the area, it is McWhirter. He’ll also announce it to the press, though probably doing so wearing a kilt and painted up like Mel Gibson from Braveheart when doing so.
