With the conflicts in the city, Herrick has become the voice of New Market, and he knows it. He is keen on keeping his position as top dog, making sure he gets exclusive interviews and other considerations that keep him in the spotlight. Herrick was instrumental in the promotion of Hanoharo as reporter, as Herrick feels he is not a threat.
